Variable Name
The Variable Name is the internal name that the software uses to identify the block of text to be used in any particular place on your website. You DO NOT need to edit that name, and actually, if you did, you would mess up the text on your website. So this is why you can not edit the variable name, you may only edit each block of text's value. The variable name is not overly helpful for you to identify which block of text it is for, although it does give you an idea of what the text is used for. I wish the variable name could be a little more helpful, but I have to name them following php's rules in order for them to work correctly, and I used all capital letters in order to avoid conflicts with other variable names.

Changing Text - Variable Value
To find a certain block of text to change, you need to look at the actual text and change it where necessary for your website. You may use the variable name if it helps, but the best way to edit these values, is to go through them all and change them to fit your site. If you only look at your site and try to change the values that you don't like, you may miss important fields that you might need to change later, so I suggest going through them all the first time you change anything, to avoid work later on. This is completely up to you of course, I hope this add on is very helpful to you.
Do not forget to click the 'Update These Fields' button before proceeding to the next page. If you forget to do this any changes that you have made will not be saved.
*Note - The Language File Editor does not control the text for links in the navigation menu.
