This Function Has Been Available Since:|
(AFCommerce v 2.1, Functions v 1.1)
Post a number variable from an html form.
string = afc_secure_number_POST (variable)
This function is part of the new security features for version 2. Use this function when you are posting in a variable that will be a number ONLY. A string will return zero. It will first use $_POST super global and retrieve the variable from the form, and then check the variable to see if it's a number. For the overall security of AFCommerce, this page does not fully disclose all methods used to protect your web server, so that hackers can not study the security functions and attack your website. This helps make AFCommerce more secure than other free software that is completely open source.
variable (integer) - The name of the variable that is being posted. This name is normally the value inside of the quotes in a normal $_POST['variable'] statement.
Returns the variable after it has been checked to see if it is a number. If it is not a number, or is blank, zero will be returned.
Open Source: No
$variable = afc_secure_number_POST("variable");
