How To Setup Express Checkout And Website Payments Pro with AFCommerce

Step 1 - Purchase and Install AFCommerce Professional version
Step 2 - Set Up a PayPal Business Account
- If you don't have an existing PayPal account:
  1. Go to Paypal.com
  2. Click Sign Up Today.
  3. Set up an account for Business Owners.
  4. Follow the instructions on the PayPal site.
- If you already have a Personal or Premier account:
  1. Sign into your Paypal Account
  2. Click the Upgrade your Account link.
  3. Click the Upgrade Now button.
  4. Choose to upgrade to a Business account and follow instructions to complete the upgrade.
  5. If you haven't already, add a bank account to become a Verified member. Follow the instructions on the PayPal site. (This process may take 2-3 business days.)
Step 3 - Setup API Access
1. Log in to your Paypal Account
2. Click the Profile subtab located in the top navigation area.
3. Click the API Access link under the Account Information header.
4. Click the Request API Credentials.
5. Complete the API Credential Request form by clicking the agreement checkbox and then click Submit.
6. Save the values for API Username and Password.
Step 4 - Setup Express Checkout On Your Website
1. Log in to your AFCommerce administration area.
2. Click the "Payment Config" icon on the home page.
3. Click the "Edit Configuration" button for Paypal Pro Express.
4. Set the status to Enabled.
5. Enter your API User Name.
6. Enter your API Password.
7. Click the "Update Payment Module" Button.
Step 5 - Setup Direct Payment On Your Website
1. Purchase The Paypal Website Payments Pro AFCommerce Module
2. Log in to your AFCommerce administration area.
3. Click the "Payment Config" icon on the home page.
4. Click the "Edit Configuration" button for Paypal Pro Direct.
5. Set the status to Enabled.
6. Enter your API User Name.
7. Enter your API Password.
8. Click the "Update Payment Module" Button.
